If my blog should look a little bare or ‘off’ - it’s because I am experimenting with creating custom themes.

I have SUCH a hard time finding themes - premium OR free - that look the way I want or offer the features I need. I spend FAR too much time looking for themes when I start on a new blog or site.

So, I have discovered it is fairly easy to create your own themes. Or at the very least, you can easily customize an existing theme framework, a.k.a a parent theme. This is the route I am taking.

Child themes can be created by simply editing a stylesheet file.

If you know a little about HTML markup and PHP code, the sky is the limit on what you can do with Wordpress themes and template files.
