Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) is not new!
It blows me away how much MISinformation is ‘published’ on the internet.
I was searching for LSI software tools this morning because the one I am using is too slow. I need to be more productive.
During my futile search, I ran across several articles written in the last three months that discuss LSI as a “…new way of getting higher search engine placement with the use of related words instead of keyword density. “ Read more: http://onlinepublishing.suite101.com/article.cfm/lsi_vs_seo_techniques#ixzz0Pky15cQN
There is SO much about this article that is wrong. Mainly, LSI is not new. It’s been THE way to optimize web pages (at least in Google’s index) for well over TWO years now. In addition, keyword density STILL matters.
This article was not the only one to state that LSI is new. I found several. Perhaps the authors are NEW to LSI? It’s obvious they aren’t optimizing sites day in and day out. To compare “LSI vs. SEO” is simply ridiculous, LSI is a PART of SEO and anyone who makes any sort of money in online marketing would know that.
I wish Google had a filter for misinformation.
